My speech

My speech topic is why do ships sink? I chose this topic because I'm obsessed with the Titanic. When I presented my speech I felt mad. What I did well was my volume. What I could have done better was talk slower.

Do you know why ships sink? A ship is a large boat that transports people or goods. Ships sink because they hit icebergs, catch fire and get caught in war and some just disappear.

Firstly ships sink because they hit icebergs. The RMS Titanic hit an iceberg and sank on the 14th April, 1912. Over 1500 people died.

Secondly ships sink because they get caught up in the war.  The Rainbow warrior got bombed by the French. It is sunk at Matauri Bay. During war the Britannic sank by an explosion.

Lastly sometimes ships just disappear and sink. 50 ships has disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle.

Ships can sink for lots of reasons.

We listened to the story and decided reasons for or against letting the pigeon drive the bus.

Science Fair

Yesterday we had our school Science Fair. My science investigation was about Candle See-saw.

Hovercraft

B E G I N N I N G	TITLE	Balloon Hovercraft
	QUESTION	How does a hovercraft hover?
	HYPOTHESIS	I predict that ...

M I D D L E	EQUIPMENT  AND MATERIALS:	Balloon Bottle cap Disc Hot glue gun
	PROCEDURE:	Step 1: Glue the bottle cap over the CD hole. Step 2:  Blow up the balloon. When it is fully inflated twist the end so no air comes out. Step 3: Stretch the balloon over the end of the bottle cap. Step 4: Open up the cap and place the CD on the surface. Step 5: Untwist balloon and let go.
	OBSERVATIONS/RESULTS:

CONCLUSION:

The air from the balloon creates a cushion of moving air between the disc and the CD and reduces the friction across the surface.

Speech

For the last two weeks we have been working on writing speeches. 

My topic was Enderdragon

We had to present them in front of our class.

Have you ever wondered what an Ender dragon is and how it works?

Let me tell you all about it. An Ender dragon is in the game minecraft he is black and he has grey horns, purple eyes and purple breath when the fire comes out of his mouth. He can fly and he has big wings.                                                                 

Ender Dragons live in the end in the game minecraft. The end is a place that is dark like night time, the ground is made of end stone. Enderman also live with the Ender dragons.

Ender Crystals heal the Ender Dragon  by going to the purple line.

Don’t be bothered to kill the ender Dragon you take out the ender crystals first. 

I hope you now know something about the Ender dragon.
